Overweight_bikerIn case you needed another reason to lose weight, a study published in the Neurobiology of Aging showed that those who were obese at 40 years of age showed an increase by 10 years in brain age. They took MRI’s of the brain in lean, overweight, and obese individuals and measured the amount of white matter which is an indicator of brain age. This means that being obese can result in an earlier decline of cognitive ability.
