Selenium and Liver Cancer
A recent study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition showed that people with low levels of selenium (a trace mineral) had an increased risk of liver cancer. Although the science does not indicate that a normal level of selenium may prevent this type of cancer it is indicative of the importance of balanced nutrition on a daily basis. Selenium can be found in these foods: meat, milk, eggs, brazil nuts, fish, or shellfish.
