Resveratrol and Lung Aging

There have numerous studies focused on resveratrol, an antioxidant found in red wine, and its anti-aging properties. A newly published study, reinforces the previous research, and this time focuses directly on the lungs. The research, published in the journal Thorax, demonstrated that inhaled resveratrol in mice demonstrated “slowing ageing-related deterioration of lung function and structure,” and this was “by maintaining AEC2 [alveolar epithelial type 2 cells] integrity.” Obviously, this is very narrow research and requires more follow-up, especially on human subjects, but it does support what we have known for quite some time: resveratrol holds great promise in reducing the effects of aging.

If you are looking for a powerful resveratrol supplement, we have one for you with a polyphenol blend that is 13 times more powerful than resveratrol alone.
