Dulled Taste May Lead to More Eating
If you are struggling with your weight, one factor to consider is whether your taste buds are fully functioning. A new study, published in the journal Appetite, found that people with an impaired ability to taste sweetness, actually tended to eat sweeter foods, and therefore were more likely to gain weight. This runs contrary to the popular assumption that the inability to taste reduces appetite, and therefore food consumption. So, are you fully able to enjoy and savor the your meals? If not, you might want to consider the relevance of this research.
