Walnuts Help with Appetite Control

Walnuts have making the news lately, and here’s another recent discovery: A new study, published in Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, found that “that walnut consumption may increase salience and cognitive control processing of highly desirable food cues.” It is believe that walnuts activate an area in the brain associated with regulating hunger and cravings. It is still now known what the optimal quantity is, or if other nuts have this particular function, but it does provide yet another reason to include nuts in your diet.
