Dancing Can Reverse Signs of Brain Aging
Here’s a fun health tip! New research out of Germany, and published in the journal Frontiers in Human Neuroscience, found that older people who routinely partake in physical exercise can reverse the signs of aging in the brain. But compared to more traditional physical exercise, dancing had a much more profound effect. They stated that “dancing seems a promising intervention for both improving balance and brain structure in the elderly. It combines aerobic fitness, sensorimotor skills and cognitive demands while at the same time the risk of injuries is low.” Want to keep young? Go out dancing this weekend!
