Potassium Helps Prevent Calcification of Arteries
Adequate potassium has long been linked with good health, and now research has discovered why it can be beneficial to our cardiovascular system. The study, published in the journal JCI Insight, was conducted on mice and examined the effects of low and high potassium intake. In short, they found that increased dietary potassium levels reduced vascular calcification and aortic stiffness.
