Tart Cherry Juice Can Help You Sleep Longer

If you have trouble getting a good night’s sleep, you might want to consider Montmorency tart cherry juice. A new study, published in the American Journal of Therapeutics, found that Montmorency tart cherry juice helped extend sleep time by 84 minutes among eight study participants, ages 50 and older who suffer from insomnia. It is believed that this is due to the polyphenols in tart cherries. Montmorency tart cherries are commonly available in the U.S. in dried, frozen, canned, juice and concentrated forms.
