Weight Training Better than Cardio for Losing Fat and Preserving Muscle

As we enter the season of excess, followed by a time of resolutions and new resolve to exercise, it is good to set in motion a plan for improved fitness. An ongoing question is whether cardio or weight training exercises are better. While both are good, for older adults wanting to slim down, pumping iron might be preferred. A new study, published in the journal Obesity, confirms this.
