Certain foods shown to help prevent colon cancer

Recent research offers good news for the prevention of colon cancer, and other diseases of the gut, like Crohn’s. The research was published in Nature Communications and shows that certain foods autophagy, a process that helps to prevent inflammation and gut diseases. The foods noted include pomegranates, red grapes, pears, mushrooms, lentils, soybeans, and green peas.
